Solution of algebraic and transcendental equations – Fixed point iteration method – Newton Raphson method- Solution of linear system of equations – Gauss elimination method – Pivoting – Gauss Jordan method – Iterative methods of Gauss Jacobi and Gauss Seidel – Matrix Inversion by Gauss Jordan method – Eigen values of a matrix by Power method.

Interpolation with unequal intervals – Lagrange’s interpolation – Newton‟s divided difference interpolation – Cubic Splines – Interpolation with equal intervals – Newton‟s forward and backward difference formulae.

MA6459 UNIT III NUMERICAL DIFFERENTIATION AND INTEGRATION

Approximation of derivatives using interpolation polynomials – Numerical integration using Trapezoidal, Simpson‟s 1/3 rule – Romberg‟s method – Two point and three point Gaussian quadrature formulae – Evaluation of double integrals by Trapezoidal and Simpson‟s 1/3 rules.

Anna University is planning to release the revaluation results in the coe poral coe1.annauniv.edu 

The professors working in anna university says that ” the correction for the semester held on nov / dec were very strict”. Due to which there is an increase in the percent of students having arrear.

He also felt happy cause this will increase the quality of the students gradually. They might also help in increase in the job openings for the engineering graduate.

But the Students felt very difficult to score higher grades in the semester which will eventually decrease their cgp.

And the professors request students to study properly and they can get good marks very soon in the forth coming semester.
