ME3351 Engineering Mechanics Grace Mark

The ME3351 Engineering Mechanics examination (QP code 81645) conducted on 21 November 2025 has drawn attention from students due to multiple errors in the printed question paper. Candidates appearing for the test reported that two key questions contained critical mistakes that could potentially affect their ability to answer accurately.

The first issue involved a diagram-based problem in which the direction of the applied force was missing. Since the direction is essential for determining the correct vector components and solving equilibrium or resultant force conditions, the absence of this information made the question ambiguous and difficult to attempt. Students emphasized that without the directional reference, no unique or meaningful solution could be derived.

Another error was noted in a numerical problem where the printed value “13.5” was mistakenly printed as “135” This misplaced decimal point significantly altered the magnitude of the given parameter and subsequently changed the course of the calculation. Students argued that such an error could mislead even well-prepared candidates, resulting in incorrect answers despite understanding the underlying concept.
